Birthday weekend

shailee turned 6 on saturday. i feel i lost 5 lbs just from all the planing, running around and the whole weekend thing.
on saturday we went to build a bear workshop. i promissed her all year that we'll go there on her birthday so it's special.
she was so excited and woke up at 6:30 in the morning.
we got to the mall after driving close to 50 minutes. william took ella to run around the mall so shailee can enjoy her special time.
she chose a cat(not a bear) and she named her kitty(very original).
she liked putting the heart and filling her up. the cloths part was crazy. so much stuff and she was running from side to side trying to decide.
at the end she got her 2 sets of cloths and a pajama.
she got bows for her ears(for free)... and a birth cerificate.
on sunday we had a party for the kids in school. 23 kids ...
we did it in a pizza place and every kid made their own pizza.
for 5$ a kid that is a good deal. i planed games like bingo and pin the tail on the donkey.
it is hard to take care of 23 kids... uffffffffff
i must say i didn't do it alone. william and my inlaws were there too.
and i thought that an hour and a half won't be enough... HA ..HA..
shailee was in presents heaven.... she had a great time and i think her friends did too.
i will never forget my 4th grade birthday party. it was a flop!
me and my sister had it together at our home. 40 kids from both classes at out tiny apartment.
the point of the story is: everybody started leaving after half an hour.
in that time kids went home by themselves and weren't picked up by a parent.
they wanted the goody bag and just went home.
may be i'm so work up when it comes to birthday parties of my kids. i want them to have a great birthday parties and for the kids to say : woo... shailee's birthday party was so fab.
not because i want to compete with north shor rich families so, my kids will not go through something like this... kids can be evil...
to end with a good note; my 6th grade pary was great...!

memorial day

it was a nice long weekend . on saturday i took shailee to the pool that finally opened.
we were there for 2 hours since we met alot of her friends.
my in -laws came over and we grilled. earlier that morning i went with my mother inlaw to fix her glasses and buy some things.
on sunday we all went to the pool. it was 94 and really hot.
ella re-discovered the pool and i'm a little sceared. i bought on the web this sweam suit w/t a tube in it.
it's not a tank w/t a tube that can rise up but a whole body suit.
i'll wait some more till i get it to take her to the pool again.
shailee's b-day is coming next weekend and i have planed a pizza party for the kids in a pizza place.
they will get to make their own pizza and get a tour in the kitchen and all for 5$ a head.
i have over 20 kids so that is a good deal. they also get a cup and a cookie...:)
i'll make the b-day cake and have some games.
today we went to cousin josh who has this beautiful apartment in down town chicago.
we BBQ and i made a browni cake w/t mousse.
josh made some chicken and 2 hamburgers. shailee told me; "Ima, josh and dan mixes meat and milk together(they put cheese on the burger). she continues: but they are jewish...
my little rabbi..:)
ella jumped on josh's bed and then was upset that there was no t.v to watch CAKE(SREWBERRY SHORT CAKE-show)
before we left ella said josh's name and waved to dan.

i'm back

so i haven't bloged for a while. i was very busy, god knows with what but time sure flies.
i got strep for the 3rd time from my dearest Ella .
we both got better and then my cousins from Israel came for a few days.
i was working on the house; cleaning, cleaning and some more de-clutering.
my cousins stayed for 4 days with their 16 months old and went on to conecticut to visit more family.
we had a great time. 4 adult and 3 kids, a real production.
i'm also working on planing shailee's 6th birthday next week. after looking for a long time i decided to do it in a pizza place and the kids can make their own pizza and have a tour in the kitchen.
5$ a head. not to bad...
i was thinking about a pool party at our health club but they want 25 $ a head and i have over 20 kids... NO WAY! too much money.
so i went to pary city to get all the stuf for the goody bags. this is the part i love.
like a kid in a candy store.
3 of my friends are in israel at the moment so it's kind of lonely so i was happy my cousins
came.
